This series is a modern fairy tale about adventure and friendship between 9 year old Sara and her best friend – the clumsy, but loving Scarecrow. Sara spends her holidays on an isolated farm with her grandparents. The forest around is full of creatures inspired by the Slavic mythology, they impersonate the forces of nature and often have similar problems to Sara’s. During each episode Sara will meet a new creature and with the help of the Scarecrow figure out how to help them and learn a valuable life lesson that will allow her to understand the world she lives in, her place in it, as well as the forces that rule inside her.
Duration: 26 episodes of 11 minutes.
Target audience: children from 6 to 9 years old.
The project was developed at La Poudriere by Tessa Moult – Milewska, Zsuzsanna Banyai and Mor Israeli.
The Polish Film Institute has given funding for writing the script by Tessa Moult-Milewska. The 13 scripts will be written by December 2017.
